Reawakened’s Global Storytelling Initiative:
Eligibility and Submission Requirements

The Reawakened Global Storytelling Initiative is sponsored by The Lexicon, a US based 501(c)(3) public charity.

Storytellers will receive the Reawakened Storytelling Fellow title and create stories for the Reawakened Global Storytelling Initiative. Fellows will take part in a private online “Total Storytelling Lab” led by The Lexicon’s Douglas Gayeton. Upon completion of this online program, Fellows will join food and agriculture experts from around the globe in creating Reawakened and receive a certificate of completion.

Selection Process

Fellows will be selected based on the strength of their submitted portfolios, their ability to work with others, and their commitment to champion the stories of food producers across the global value chain.

Applicants should be 18 years of age or older. Applicants can apply as individuals, collectives, or companies. All material produced during the initiative will be Creative commons.

All applicants are required to submit work samples that must be accompanied by a brief description of elements, and web links to view. It won’t be possible to upload attachments. Accepted formats:

  • Photography: link to Dropbox, Google Drive or other platform with images
  • Video: link to Vimeo/YouTube
  • Graphic Design/Illustration: link to Behance or personal web pages
  • Writing: personal web pages or link to Dropbox, Google Drive or other platforms.
  • Podcast (with accompanying visual assets) specs: personal web pages orl link to Dropbox, Google Drive or other platforms.

Submission Requirements/Copyright

All submissions must be the entrant’s original work. Submissions must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any entity or person.

Fellows selected to join Reawakened will retain the copyrights to their work while also granting access to The Lexicon and the partners of the Reawakened Food Initiative to share their contributions as part of Reawakened’s Global Storytelling Initiative.
